CDC Guidelines for Flu
Stay home when sick: keep your child home for at least 24 hours after fever free and/or without the use of fever reducing medicines. They should stay away from others during this time period even if they are taking antiviral drugs for treatment of the flu.
Separate ill students and staff: Students who appear to have flu-like illness should be sent home. CDC recommends that they wear surgical mask, if possible.
Hand Hygiene: The new recommendations emphasize the importance of prevention. Stay home when sick, wash hands frequently with soap and water when possible.
